Mr. T:

Has the date and site for the TPALS
golf tournament been set yet?

Michelle Henry:

How do I find out the requirements to participate in the Book Cart Drill Team Competition?

Jeanne:

Good question, Michelle! Here is Elise's response:

All forms will be posted on the TLA website once we have sent the printed program to press. I would hope that by the end of next week you could start seeing some of the miscellaneous forms.

Jeanne:

Michelle,

Here is the link for the Book Cart Drill Team Competition information. Good luck!

Mary Ann Caruth:

Is there a spot to request a roommate for a hotel reservation? I already have a reservation and now need a roommate. Thank you.

Jeanne:

Hi Mary Ann,

There is an email list setup for roommates and ridesharing.
Go to the conference page (www.txla.org/conference/conf.html) to sign up for the roommates listserv using the form at the bottom of that page. After doing so, just send an email to roommates@txla.org with your housing or ridesharing needs. Whoever is on the list will get it and can respond if they’re looking for something similar.

Teri Mueller:

What is the Digitization Expo? Is it a "come and go" event? What benefit would it have?

Jeanne:

Teri,

Good question! Here is some additional information:

The Digitization Expo (DigiExpo) is a "come and go" event that gives attendees a chance to visit with vendors as they would in the regular Exhibit Hall. DigiExpo also features speakers and panels that will be publicized before the event. DigiExpo is designed to be a way for vendors who don't regularly come to Texas to come for a single day and meet with attendees who are specifically interested in digital projects. Other vendors who are exhibiting at conference may be at DigiExpo as well, showcasing specific products or digital services.

My friend, Osbelia Maria Rocha, who is a TALL Texan, sent information regarding the Texas Association Library Conference. I realize this information concerns the 2010 conference.

Would you please send the dates and place of the 2011 conference? I am interested in presenting at the conference.

I would appreciate any information.I look forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Mary Elizabeth Anderson
