Welcome to the Texas Library Association’s blog on statewide library news, policy matters, and events. We encourage our members to use the forum to provide up-to-date information and promote dialogue on topics of interest to the broad library community.
As part of TLA’s effort to provide the most flexible communication tools, each TLA unit is also able to offer its members access to a unit blog dedicated to the themes and topics of interest to that particular group. See the “Resources” section below for a list of TLA unit blogs.
We ask that all participants respect the views of others and that all communication be courteous and professional. If you need help learning about blogs and blogging, consider attending “TLA’s Got Blogs” with Christine Peterson at 2 pm on Thursday, April 12 at Net Fair I and at 3 pm on Friday, April 13 at Net Fair II during TLA’s Annual Conference in San Antonio.
In the meantime, if you have any technical questions, you can contact Randy May (randym@txla.org) of the TLA office. If you have general questions about the TLA blog or any other TLA publications, feel free to contact me at gloriam@txla.org.
We look forward to your feedback and comments. Happy posting!
Gloria Meraz
Director of Communications

Another conference I attend(Internet Librarian) gives bloggers at the conference a ribbon (like a presenter ribbon) for their badge.
I think that would be a great idea for next year--for example, I found out after I got back from the conference that several bloggers I communicate with in the same sessions I was, but since we don't know what we all look like, we didn't recognize each other!
I also think it'd be a great way to encourage blogging from the conference.
